Early Access: The Financial Insights Assistant — Ask Your Books a Question
A read-only AI assistant that answers questions about your own invoices, expenses, and cash position in plain language. Rolling out gradually to Professional and Firm plans — here's what it does and how to get early access.

Every small business has the same five questions: who owes me money, how much did I make last quarter, what did I spend on, which client pays late, and how does this month compare to last. The answers are all in your books — the Financial Insights Assistant lets you ask for them in a sentence instead of building a filter.
What It Is
The assistant has four defining properties:
- Conversational — ask in plain English, get an answer grounded in your actual workspace data, with the figures it used shown alongside.
- Read-only — it can look at your invoices, expenses, and clients; it cannot create, edit, or delete anything.
- Descriptive, not advisory — it tells you what your numbers are, not what you should do about them. It is not an accountant, tax agent, or financial advisor.
- Scoped to you — it sees only the workspace you're signed into. Nothing else.
Why Read-Only and Descriptive-Only
We built the assistant under two deliberate constraints. Read-only means a misunderstood question can never damage your records. Descriptive-only means it stays on the right side of a clear line: your numbers are facts we can compute; what to do about them is between you and your accountant.
Rolling Out Gradually
The assistant is in early access on Professional and Firm plans while we tune quality and cost controls with a small group of workspaces. If you want in, write to us with a sentence about your business and we'll enable it for your workspace as the rollout expands.
